LOVEMEAD GROUP PRACTICE
Roundstone Surgery, Polebarn Circus, Trowbridge, BA14 7EH

PART‑TIME MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST (25-30 hours per week)

Are you looking to begin or continue a career within the NHS? Whether you’re new to general practice or already working in healthcare and seeking a fresh challenge, we’d love to hear from you. Lovemead Group Practice is recruiting a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, supportive patient services team based in our busy town‑centre surgery in Trowbridge.

If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy working with people, and have strong customer service experience, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

This is a key frontline position where no two days are the same. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a vital part in ensuring they receive an efficient, professional and compassionate service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming and booking in patients
Handling high‑volume patient enquiries both in person and by telephone
Managing a wide range of administrative tasks
Signposting patients to services, information and support
Working closely with both clinical and non‑clinical colleagues

Because this role relies heavily on using clinical systems, telephony, and digital tools, excellent IT skills and confidence using computers are essential, alongside the ability to multitask and maintain accuracy under pressure.

What We’re Looking For

Strong customer service experience
High level of computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
A friendly, professional and patient‑focused approach
Ability to stay organised and work well as part of a busy team
Flexibility to work shifts between 8:00am – 8:00pm, Monday to Friday
Experience within a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential — full training will be provided.

What We Offer

Competitive salary
NHS Pension Scheme membership
Ongoing training and development opportunities
A supportive and welcoming team
